Is there no diagram on the cover you took off? On top or under the cover itself?
It's coded. No words. Unless "Maxi 13" is a car part I don't know about lol.Is there no diagram on the cover you took off? On top or under the cover itself?
Ok, just wanted to make sure before I went searching, only to have you post up that you had it the whole time...It's coded. No words. Unless "Maxi 13" is a car part I don't know about lol.
On the cover, it is "Maxi 13" that is blowing.
its your vehicles pcm fuse. i had this happen once but when i replaced and it didnt blow again. did you do any engine work recently?Car is a 97 Cobra. Driving down the road and the car stalls. The fuse in the photo was blown, and a replacement blew as soon as I turned the key to ON.
I disconnected everything in the trunk I could find (fuel pump, taillights, etc) and it still blew the fuse. Suspect a short, but I'm not a huge electrical expert so I haven't got a finger on where to look yet.
The blown fuse is the 20A in the center of the fuse box. I don't have the manual to this car, so can somebody tell me exactly what this fuse is? Evidence so far has pointed to fuel pump.
Any ideas would be appreciated.
A lot of searches point to the CCRM, I can't find evidence that this car has one...or if so...where it is?
Mine was blowing eec fuses ended up being maf wiring gounding out on the inner fenderits your vehicles pcm fuse. i had this happen once but when i replaced and it didnt blow again. did you do any engine work recently?
Most recent thing was rear-end gears and a stereo head-unit about 6 months ago. Car has been daily driven since then.its your vehicles pcm fuse. i had this happen once but when i replaced and it didnt blow again. did you do any engine work recently?

PCM fuse? Are you sure on that? Dumb question but what is PCM?
i would start by removing your stereo and make sure none of the wires cam loose and shorted to ground. Most recent thing was rear-end gears and a stereo head-unit about 6 months ago. Car has been daily driven since then.

go here and click owners manuals in the lower right. you can pick pretty much any ford/linc/merc vehicle and view the owners guide for free. its a good link to have.http://www.miracerros.com/mustang/2000_fuse.html
Only diagram I found was for a 2000 model. Not sure if they are the same though.
Mine only has 4 relays, that's for a 3.8 too.http://www.miracerros.com/mustang/2000_fuse.html

Whiteboy: The MAF area is stock and looks good as new. Everything is still wrapped and still attached with plastic hooks. Inside fender and all.
refer to post 10Like I said, its all I have found so far.
Stereo looks fine..all wires were soldered and are still insulated. Can turn the key to ACC and the stereo works fine if that's any indication.refer to post 10
i ment donnie90stang. lol. i would give your engine bay an a good visual inspection and look for any wire chaffing/rubbing and look for any exposed wires. also check the starter cables.Stereo looks fine..all wires were soldered and are still insulated. Is there a circuit breaker you can buy to test instead of buying fuses? Can you take one meant for home use (20A of course) and wire it in place or what?
Thanks for ideas thus far.
Would the starter cables still be suspect even if it works and turns the car over?i ment donnie90stang. lol. i would give your engine bay an a good visual inspection and look for any wire chaffing/rubbing and look for any exposed wires. also check the starter cables.
no i doubt it. try doing a reseat (unhook it then hook it back up) of the pcm. could be that the pcm took a shit on you as well. is there any codes or lights blinking on the instrument cluster? if the theft light is flashing it's probably the pcm. i gotta take off (at work right now). good luck.Would the starter cables still be suspect even if it works and turns the car over?
Actually the theft light is blinking quickly...is that an indication that the PCM is bad? Is there any way to test for sure?no i doubt it. try doing a reseat (not reset) of the pcm. could be that the pcm took a shit on you as well. is there any codes or lights blinking on the instrument cluster? if the theft light is flashing it's probably the pcm. i gotta take off (at work right now). good luck.
Who is they?yeah they sale circuit breaker type atc .It will trip then reset itself
