97 351w strength

how much horsepower will a 97 351w hold safely, given that rotating assembly would be upgraded.

more than you need. there are cars in the 5's that i know of that used a stock block, and some inthe 6's using stock type internals.
the 351w blocks are very strong..and the stock rods and crank are pretty dang good too

turbostang put down 688wrhp with stock rods in his turbo car..and went low 6's
how about if they are .40 over?? still same

I'm running 6.40s-6.50s with an n/a 427, shifting at 6800 with no problems. Haven't sprayed it though. Mines an 84 block, so its not much if any better than the 96 block.

where can you get the stock parts from a 351w? Just bought one and am planning on building it too a 408 stroker
