8mm Remmington Magnum (Ultra?)

So, the father unit wants me to hunt down pictures of the above mentioned gun so he can have an idea of what an authentic original would look like before making a purchase.

Hand guns. .. i can do. Rifles. . . i've got no damn clue what's original or not. Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks!

Have heard of an 8mm remington mag but not and ultra.
I think it would depend on the actual rifle. Remington started chambering that round (8mm Remington Mag) in 1978 and ran it until 2008. Considering their propensity to kill off proprietary cartridge designs before they really ever really get going, that might well be a record for them. I found a listing for a, "Model 700 Mountain Rifle," chambered in 8mm mag, and I had to wince. I can't imagine the recoil of something that can be loaded to around 4,200ft/lbs of muzzle energy in a 6.5lb rifle. Yikes!
yeah im not sure about the ultra or even 8mm still but i do know they make the 7mm stw which im sure you know is a 8mm cartridge necked down to a 7mm

Thats not to bad try to imagine what a 10lb Weatherby Mark V chambered in the ever potent .460 Weatherby Magnum.

Pass on both accounts.
Pass on both accounts.
I can't say that I'd at least try them each one time.
There is no Ultra mag in 8mm.

Remington Ultra Mags:
7mm (.284)
.300
.338
.375
