What does a stock 2003 Z06 run in the 1/4. A buddy of mine just bought one & he keeps talking shit that he will kill my poor little fox body on the street.

According to the link below they run 12.8 @ 114..

Actually, the 12.8 time they quoted was for the regular LS1. The ZO6's were good for really low 12's, but I could be wrong...

Oops, you're right, just re-read..

The 2003 Z06's 5.7-liter LS6 V-8 cranks out 405 hp and 400 lb.-ft. of torque, enough to launch it from 0 to 60 mph in four seconds flat, and a tick over 12 seconds through the quarter-mile at 116 mph. Standard '03 Corvette coupes and convertibles are good for "only" about 4.5 seconds from 0 to 60 and 12.8 seconds in the quarter-mile at 114 mph.
Low 12 at 116-ish. They have went 11's bone stock, but that certainly isn't the norm.
He wants to run me on the streets. Do I have a chance? I have never taken my car to the track before.

Just run him at a sanctioned event if you want to race him.

There are no sanctioned events where I live. We don't even have a track.

Can you run a low 12's? Can he drive? Can you drive? You're putting down enough power to beat him, but there are a lot of variables.
Depends on your car.. Some details would probably help.

I'd guess he is driving the car in his sig... I may be wrong

I have sigs off.

Edit.. I think you would take him depending on driving skills. Run him soon before he gets used to the car. :p

I personally would not street race that car. WTH you live that there is not track within a couple of hours?

he'll beat ya n/a vs n/a unless you got a driver mod on him
I'm running a S-Trim.
oh then go beat his ass seabass. You should have him covered :147:
How well can you get your car to come out of the hole? It is much easier to get that vette to roll out, than it will be your car.

If you can keep up with his door while getting out of the hole spinning, then you should catch him.

All of this depends on your driving. Practice your hole shot and bust his ass before he gets used to the car.
Back when my car was "normal", it had a STOCK 302 and a 57MM turbo - it ran 7.30's in the same trim I drove it in every day. On regular street tires it went 7.70's. It only made 350/480.

IMHO, a Z06 would be hard pressed to beat that. (your car should produce similar times).
