Chopped54 I just saw it and it caught my eye. Sedans are one of my favorites and was curious.....
If you snap some pics post 'em, I would love to check it out!

Robert,

I don't have any pictures of it on my computer.

It's just a 4" chopped Model A sedan on as Brian Bass-built Model A chassis. My dad bought it from my former boss because he needed to get some money quick. My dad sold it to another friend of ours that wanted it pretty bad, but it is still in my dad's shop.

I can get some pictures of it tomorrow when I go up there if you want to see it.

Oops, missed this one. I think it would look pretty awesome. I wonder how that would work. How "transparent" is the bluing ?

Oh yeah, here's another (bad) picture of the car.

Ya know, I've been crawling around in this car and seeing it come together over the years, and I still just go lay under it and look at all the different stuff that's been done to it. It still amazes me.

He didn't actually do the engine turning on the curved, top part of the barrel, just the sides. I would imagine he could do it but DAMN, it would be a pain in the ass !

Well, he actually wasn't doing very good here about 2-3 months ago. He lost a bunch of weight and wasn't getting out of the house. He was sleeping a lot. He REALLY had me worried for a while there. He's been feeling better and getting out of the house more lately, so I was relieved to see that.

Yeah, I've been trying to talk him into changing the valve covers, and I think he will. He made the air cleaner by hand, cutting out the flames with a jigsaw and filing them until they were smooth, so I don't think he'll be changing that.

Yeah man, same car. Been working on it for 18 years this October !

Chopped54 Oh, and as far as the gun I think it is pretty sweet, now just polish and/or engrave the frame and he is golden.

Yeah, it looks really cool when the light hits it. I actually engine turned a piece of stainless sheet metal and then pinstriped it. It came out REALLY cool looking. It was kind of a challenge to stripe because of the way the light hits it though.

He has a Bridgeport mill. He uses a rubberized abrasive stick called Cratex. It's really pretty easy, actually. Of course, you have to have a milling machine, and the abrasives. Need something engine turned ?

Here's some more engine turned stuff my dad did. The heads and oil pan on his coupe took a TON of time to do. I think he told me he had 8 hours just making the jig to hold the heads so he could engine turn them !!

EDIT: After looking, I could have SWORE I had better pictures of the sides of the heads. You can kind of see the heads in one of the pics. Also, he did the outside lip of all four wheels.

My dad cracks me up-engine turned the slide on his Colt !

My dad apparently has too much time on his hands. LOL !

He had this .32 Colt apart and decided to engine turn the slide on it. I think this is the one he gave $300 for, so he didn't seem to be real worried about hurting the re-sale value.

Anyway, here's pics. What do you guys think ? Did it hurt the re-sale on it ? I don't even know what one of these is worth. Regardless, I think it looks cool as shit !
