This is not a good deal, like i said there are better rifles for the money.

Go to just about any gun store and they will have lowers, I would call around before going to a store to make sure they arent too much. In this market expect to pay 150-175 for a lower.

The rifle kit is a bit harder, I would just order it from delton or model 1 sales. It is gonna take about 4 months to get right now but thats ok.

Now if you dont want to wait order a Rock River Arms rifle from this guy.

He has 3 diffrent brands on hand DPMS which i think hes selling for 170 and the S&Ws for 199 and another brand cant remeber. I can get the shops name and number later if you like.

I built one at the end of november for 700.

sleeperLS Only thing i can tell you is research what you want. As far as sights barrel options, and so on and price it all out.

For the del-ton i would have 955 shipped and that is without the ffl fee. No case, no 30 round mag.

Its all in what you want. You get by a little less since the deals are few and far between right now. That price of 955 is with the lower costing 120.00.

You can get by cheaper but for me it was just as much to buy a factory built rifle with a lifetime warrenty with the options i wanted.

If you just wanted the base of the base it would have been 646 shipped with no rear site. This is from the del-ton site.

I hope this helps some.

Not a bad model but like drift_poser said, they can be had cheaper. I am building my first this weekend and I have less than $750 in it. Spikes Tactical stripped lower with a DTI kit. Flat top, chrome lined, M4 feed ramps and rear flip up sight.
01-21-2009 11:28 PM
sleeperLS The delton kits seem to be great. With the options i get with the rra rifle i ordered it would be hard to build it for the same price once you start adding in the chrome lined barrel, rear sights, two stage trigger. I was really close to buying the delton 16inch flat top rifle kit with a stripped lower. 92notch just built a del-ton and his is nice.

Personaly i think there BCG leaves some quality to be desired. Ill stick with my RRA upper and stag BCG mated to a kinda crappy DPMS lower. If i had to do it again i woulda bough a areo precision lower or something of the like and filled it with a chip mcormic match trigger then just pieced the rest of it together online

IMHO 1k is way too much for this gun, no way could i see paying 1k for a m4gery without a chrome lined barrel

For the 3/4s of what i understood I will wait for that deal. Bachman had various ARs starting at 1300 or 1400. Their Rem 870s were right at 380 for the 12g tac and 390 for the chrome marine model. Way too much for the AR and a good deal on the Rem. People are crazy right now.

PM me some info for that AR

I just took back a dpms classic. I baught the whole rifle and was going to build off the lower since they had them in stock. Alot of people built on the lowers. I wasnt impressed with their wanna be m4feed ramps that they seem to put on everything now. Looked like a 10yo kid kid it with a dremel.
