30g iPod battery

I think my battery is FUBAR. The only time I can get my iPod to stay on is when I plug it in to the like FM x-mitter deal in the ciggy lighter. It won't charge or anything when I plug it in to the wall charger or the USB.

Is it possible for me to replace the battery myself? I haven't tried to pry the back off yet just for fear of messing something up.
