Question need new music

Anyone have some suggestions for bands/music I should take a listen to? My iTunes is getting old.

Currently I have things like:

Static-X
Disturbed
Tool
Crossbreed
Slipknot
Alice In Chains
Element Eighty
Hed(pe)
Seether
Theory of a Deadman
etc.

Any suggestions?

New disturbed came out last week. It's literally the same exact shit they've been putting out for a decade now but it might be something you'd like. Downloaded the new Funeral for a Friend EP, it's pretty damned good. They went back to a heavier sound. Again, I gotta say Periphery's self-titled album is probably still one of my most listened to and it's been out for 5 months already.

That's all pretty similar shit, almost to the point of being vanilla. Get out of your comfort zone.

Give me a dollar.

Comeback Kid - Symptoms + Cures (hardcore/punk) not sure if you're into that but it's pretty damn good IMO.

I don't listen to the radio a lot so I'm not sure what bands out there are similar to things you're accustomed to.

If you liked the funeral for a friend download their hits album "Your History is Mine:2002-2009"

Hollywood Undead is pretty good I think. Maybe some Pimpadelic, although I haven't heard alot of their new stuff their old stuff kicks ass. We used to go see them at Trees all the time.

20 actually (pretty sure it's 20 anyway). I do have 27 programmed in, but I really can't take the constant super fast drums like I used to.

I'm guessing he listens to 20 a lot more. Nothing but cock-rock. It seems like half the time 27 is just some british dude talking shit. 28 (I think that's the metal stattion) was pretty good. That's where I heard about Polkadot Cadaver.

Haste the Day and Oh, Sleeper are some other hardcore bands you might like. Nothing too crazy. They're technically christian bands but it doesn't bother me and I'm practically the anti-christ.

Hollywood Undead is cheesy as hell. It's funny though. There's only a couple of songs on there that are actually "good."

I think their "act" is cheesy and alot of the lyrics sound like they're trying to hard, but I like the beats an just the flow of their music. As I mentioned before you can't go wrong with good ole Pimpadelic, old school though, maybe the Reb DeVille album or the one before that.

After listening to what I've downloaded, I tend to agree. I only heard the one song on Sirius and liked it. The rest of the stuff isn't as good IMO.

I like track 2, bottle and a gun, and whatever the last track is. No5 is ok as well. I did pass a car a couple of months ago with 4 pretty cute girls rockin out to and singing along with whatever that song that goes "Every where I go, Bitches always know, that Charlie Scene has gotta weenie that he love to show." I thought it was a funny picture.

Pimpadelic is fucking gay btw.

Polkadot Cavader is a couple of guys from Dog Fashion Disco (a most excellent band) that decided to make their own thing. I think most of it is shit, but they have a few good songs.

You should check out something you don't think you like, but is generally well regarded, like some old school hip hop or old old country.

Give me a dollar.

You're one who might appreciate this...
A friend turned me on to Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros. Not long after that I actually heard some while at a dive bar. To me, they have that weird Polypohinic Spree cult type vibe. Not that they have a cult following... but that they could actually be some sort of hippy commune cult. Give it a listen, you might enjoy.

Of your list, these make appearances in my rotation.

My suggestions would be:

Mastodon - Crack the Skye
Lamb of God - Wrath
Chevelle - (start with) Vena Sera
Dethklok - Dethalbum
Breaking Benjamin - These guys are hit or miss with people. Start with Dear Agony. If you're not feeling this one, you probably won't like any thing else they've got.

I'm curious to see what you think of these before making any other suggestions.
