the Expendables

Wow no thread on the Expendables. How long I've and I'm sure a lot of other have to wait for all the action star to be in one movie. There is two guys I don't see them fitting in the movie Jet Li and Terry Crews. No Van Damm, Chuck Norris, Steven Segal, Wesly Snipes, the guy from Overboard. Who else am I missing from the 80 and 90 action stars.

On a side note, I watched John rambo last night and thought it was a decent movie.

It looks fucking horrible. It looked ok at first, but the more I see the trailers the more I think of how fucking cheesy it's going to be.

BEcause Mr. T and Apollo Creed look like shit. They needed a buffed up black guy, so he fit the choice.

thought it was bad ass tonight. Look at the cast and look at the who the younger main star is....Jason Statham. He was awesome in the movie. He's a bad ass in any movie he's in.
What it doesn't show in the trailers is that him and Stallone are the main characters in the movie. Being that he's the bad ass new action guy would be why Stallone cast him.
The movie had some awesome fight scenes, esp towards the end.

Thinking of going to the drive-in in ennis to watch this and inception. Yahoo users give it an A, the critics gave it a B, so take that for what its worth.

uhm john cena has only been in WWE produced films. Fox probably has some investment but WWE is the major player.

The movie had potential but dropped the ball IMO. The beginning was slow as hell, Arnold and Bruce Willis only had one scene cameo's and when the action finally got heavy and good the scenes got real dark to hide bad choreographing I can only assume. If I could have made out what was going on at the end it might have been a decent flick but it was filmed so bad at the end half the time I was left wondering who was fighting at that moment because I couldnt make out their face.

Van Damme was offered a role in the movie and declined lol.

"At this year's Comic-Con, Stallone addressed the casting offers, including two other high-profile no-shows that were not meant to be. His take differs slightly: "I talked to Van Damme. I talked to [Steven] Segal. I even talked to Chuck Norris." He then added, "But there are certain considerations, like insanity.""

I chuckled.

If Chuck was in it, they wouldn't need the rest of the cast.

Saw it yesterday. One of the worst movies I have seen in a while.

They were really expecting the power house of a cast to carry the film, but the plot sucked ass, and the action was over the top bullshit.

Also, nuclear warhead shotgun? What the fuck?

I went into it expecting a completely horrible movie, and I was not disappointed...

On that note, it was fun to watch.
