Has anybody seen it? I was looking forward to watching it but every review I've read has said it can possibly be the worst movie of the year. Is it really that bad?

Solid chance, given it's an M. Night Shamalayamaymizzan flick. He has fallen off his game big time lately.

M Night Shamada;dsljkf;hnasdlkjfla made one good movie (The 6th Sense) and it has been a steady downfall since. Actually The 6th Sense was a great movie, and nothing else he has done has come close.

I personally liked The Village. The twist wasn't all that great but the concept was cool as hell.

My daughter and I used to watch the series on Nick together all the time. I took her to see it yesterday and was disappointed with the movie.

Unbreakable and The Sixth Sense were great. I didn't like Signs, even though everyone and their mother liked it, and haven't seen anything after that.

Actually, scratch that. I've seen Lady in the Water and thought it was pure shite.

I liked Unbreakable and The Sixth Sense, Signs was OK. The Village was dumb.

We saw it on Thursday - my god that movie sucked.

There was only one person who could act (the uncle fire bender) but he had a fairly small part and was more of his body language.

Everything else was just horrid. So much so, if I don't even want to go into detail becuse it'd mean I'd have to think about the movie.

Bleh.

BY ROGER EBERT / June 30, 2010

"The Last Airbender" is an agonizing experience in every category I can think of and others still waiting to be invented. The laws of chance suggest that something should have gone right. Not here. It puts a nail in the coffin of low-rent 3D, but it will need a lot more coffins than that.

Let's start with the 3D, which was added as an afterthought to a 2D movie. Not only is it unexploited, unnecessary and hardly noticeable, but it's a disaster even if you like 3D. M. Night Shyamalan's retrofit produces the drabbest, darkest, dingiest movie of any sort I've seen in years.

You know something is wrong when the screen is filled with flames that have the vibrancy of faded Polaroids. It's a known fact that 3D causes a measurable decrease in perceived brightness, but "Airbender" looks like it was filmed with a dirty sheet over the lens.

I saw it, I enjoyed the effects and the story was pretty ok... yes the acting was not top notch, but I still enjoyed it!

You pick it, I click it!

Another swing and a huge miss for M. Night Shama lama ding dong (writer, director, producer).

Decent story
some very cheesy lines
HORRIBLE ACTING- minus about 3 people from the Fire kingdom
WEAK 3D
Very little continuity/ holes in the plot

Bottom line, it's hard to watch unless you think Keanu Reeves is a good actor.

Yeah, not too bad. Saw it for cheap so I wasn't going in with a lot invested and expectations were in the basement...turned out decent.

I liked the effects, cool seeing how they made the elements into weapons (aside from Fire obviously)

I genuinely want to see the sequels (book 2 and 3)

Of course I am a mindless drone of human society and I enjoyed movies like Rambo 4 and A-Team too
