Faith No More - The Real Thing

I liked this album in high school, saw it for $2 at half price books, so I picked it up. Put it in the PS3 and cranked it up... and DAMN! This album sounds like ass. All mids, super compressed and no detail.

Good songs, but it sounds like it was mixed to listen to in your car on your jensen speakers through your audiovox deck with an exhaust leak and a misfire...

This album sounded like bad .mp3's.

Faith No More was the biggest piece of shit band that Mike Patton has ever assembled. I can't speak for the sound quality, but the band quality is definitely absolute shit.

I'm not really of fan of The Real Thing. It's music was basically all recorded and nearly finished by the time Patton came along for the lyrics and vocals.

Angel Dust is a completely different story. It's by far the best thing they ever released. I have it ranked within my top 25 greatest albums of all time. I listen to it at least once a week and have since it came out in '92.

I've heard this before, I might have to go out and get it! I think I saw it for $2 in the half price books clearance section...

I'm sure on a 1991 system it wasn't bad. I'm sure if you bought the CD now it would have been remastered

Caffeine and RV were good songs, but that's about it as far as I'm concerned. King for a Day had a few good songs, as did Album of the Year, but the rest of their output is not my thing.

You ever heard Fantomas? That's probably my favorite Patton project... Bungle was good, aside from the noise-inspired Disco Volante album.

How about Loveage? That's a good CD featuring Patton and Dan the Automator.

I'd have to say Stripsearch isn't too bad. I like the rhythm in it...vocals are a bit "off" but not too bad...music video is TERRIBLE...lip syncs as good as spears.
