I loved it too. I think alot of us can relate to him, especially if we build a car and wreck it. Then you have to go through all those emotions of do you fix it or not. I still have my mustang, it was my first car 10 years ago, I can see how he feels when he wrecked it, and know everything that is going through his mind. When you have a car for that long, people start to identify it with you, and it is a part of who you are. Everytime I see family or friends that I don't see often, they ask me about my car. I rarely drive or work on the thing, but I can't see getting rid of it.
I especially like the Leno outlook on it.
Leno "Someone built the car for you, right?"
Leno "Then you wouldn't have drove the car into a tree if you would have built it yourself. It is just like driving a rental at that point."
