Eric Clapton

He's coming to the AAC. Tickets go on sale on Saturday at 10, is anybody going to try to make it?

Costs too much? Don't be a pussy! Steve Winwood is going to be there, as well. Here's hoping they play some Blind Faith.

Give me a dollar.

Apparently it's not an opener/headliner combo. Apparently it's a fresh collaboration with new material and everything. I won't miss it. LMK if you need a place in Dallas to crash, broseph.

I'll be up in Dallas for the summer by then, but I'll hit you up if I wind up with tickets.

The AAC Website says $75-150, but you're talking to the guy that sprung for the $300, all weekend tickets to the FIRST Crossroads. I ain't no punk bitch when it comes to music, son!

Crossroads '04 was the first time I ever learned that money CAN buy you happiness. So glad I was at that show.

I got to bullshit, in person, with David Johansen. That motherfucker was hilarious!

BTW: After his killer performance with the living gods of the blues, I'll always be impressed by John Mayer. I don't always like his material, but I get it, and his live shows rule. If you haven't seen him live, you're cheating yourself.

Give me a dollar.

sat 10th row!!!

i just got home from this show and wow they sounded great! they came out together and played about 2 hours 15 minutes. they back up musicians were awesome.

on drums they had Abe Laboriel, Jr. who also plays with Paul McCartney. The guy was awesome.

on Bass they had the great Willie Weeks. who has also played with Dave Mason.

on keyboards was Chris Stainton who has played with joe Cocker & the Who. the guy was just fantastic.

and then there was EC. the man is god. still looks the same and plays better than ever. Vocals were dead on too.

And then Steve Winnwood. This was the first time to see him and i can't wait for him to come back solo. he's probably in his upper 50's and still sounds 20 and looks 30. man, the traffic stuff was just awesome, i wish more of you could have went.

get this.... my wife works with the cousin the guy that runs Beaver Productions, who produced this show. My wife calls me up at 4:40 and said the guy had the ticket available. met the dude, picked him up and drove. went and picked up the tickets and they were section 10 row K. 10TH ROW ON THE FLOOR! i about popped a boner.

i took some shitty cell phone pics i'll post up later if they are any good.

If my wife wasnt so close to having our son I would go. And prices are cheap compared to the Cream reunion in England in 06, I had a friend go to that show. He paid 1500 for 1 ticket.

That shit was AMAZING. I went with some family members and Slowhand, and I kept finding myself saying, "they get older, and they just get better."

Give me a dollar.

i kind of thought they would have played a little longer. 2 hours 15 minutes wasn't very long in my opinion.

i didn't know the format going in; i thought they'd each play a set and then come out and do a set together. thy left so much on the table.

i'd have liked to have seen Low Spark of High Heeled Boys... that would have been awesome.

great show none the less. i was just in awe seeing both of them up there together especially 10 rows back.

I'll agree with you, but they're old as hell, and still touring for no good reason at all. For that, I thank them.
