Mystic River and Gone Baby Gone by Dennis Lehane were both good movies and books (of course the books were better, but they always are).

LOTR movies were also very good.

I agree but to Mystic Rivers credit it is pretty damn word for word. It just doesn't explain the boy in the woods thing as much as it needed to.

Once I read a book, I never watch the movie.

I heard they are making a movie version of Ender's Game. It's one of my absolute favorite books... I'll make sure to stay far far away from that one.

I am Legend is another one. Matheson's ending in the book was awesome. I heard what they did to the movie, was very disappointed, and can't even bring myself to rent it.

Dexter was definitely better than the book. The book was horrible, but then again Dexter was a series, not a movie.

I saw the movie first and read the book second. The movie was good but the book was awesome. I can see how you'd be a little disappointed if you'd read the book first.

I've read a few books that have been turned into movies, mostly Stephen King and Tom Clancy stuff, and it's all been crap except for maybe The Mist. The books have always been better than the movies, my mind has better special effects than any movie will probably ever have. The Lord of the Rings Trilogy is probably the only movie I've watched (but never read) that I've heard is pretty much as the book laid it out (and they had to do it over 3 movies!). I just wish for once they would make a Clancy movie that is true to the book

I always take the movie before the book.

I dont have the time to read or the patience.

I guess I should have added I've read some Michael Crichton stuff as well and they were not as good as the books. Man he's got some good stuff and he's very good with the details.

I liked the first 3 Bourne Books written by Robert Ludlum (didnt care for the author that continued them..) and thought the movies were decent. I liked the books better..

Enders Game was one of my favorites also, i wonder how they'll screw the movie up lol..

I thought The Green Mile movie was pretty accurate. Except for the one part I wanted to see, which was when Percy got ripped a new one and got told off good. But then again, I think it was a PG movie.
