Planet Terror

I've always been a big fan of 70s car chase movies, so when Tarantino and Rodriguez came out with Grindhouse it was only natural for me to sway over and pay more attention to Death Proof. I was an instant fan of his style in the early 90's(Saw Pulp Fiction in the theater about 4 times)so that didn't hurt either.

I bought Planet Terror on DVD right when it came out since they were released seperatly, and finally watched it again a bit ago. Man, this movie is pure fucking badassness. The entire thing is so well done it and loaded with cheese it is hard to even know where to start praising it. Just stupid little details, like the brothers first arguement about bbq sauce as the world is filling with zombies. Both of these films deserve way more credit than were given to them, and Planet Terror desearves way more credit that I initally gave to it. Here's to you, Rodriguez. Lets see Sin City 2 some time soon.

I've been wondering if they were worth it, I saw them at Target for like $7.50 each(DVD).

I have some friends that bitched about seeing it in the theaters, and kept pointing out how they were shown in reverse order. I didn't know where to begin to explain these films, but I love them, and I love that they stand well on their own or together.

Give me a dollar.

I missed 'em in the theaters, but bought Death Proof on DVD. I need to give Planet Terror a watch for sure.

And yes, I'm so tired of waiting for Sin City 2, it's ridiculous.
