Has anybody seen this film before? If you have a BluRay player, I strongly suggest you order it today. The images captured in this film are beyond belief. It's completely speechless, but does have some music to go along with the images captured. It's been out since 1992, but I just heard of it recently.

The entire film was shot in 24 countries, in countless locations, all on 70mm film. The restoration for BluRay was done by scanning each individual frame of film, and digitally restored. It's not an easy movie to watch at times, as they show some depressing stuff occasionally, but it's definitely well worth watching.

What are your thoughts if you have seen it? What was your favorite image (I know, that's a tough one).

I was going to start a new thread on this, but will pull up an old one:

I had seen this film years ago on VHS, but never really thought about looking for it on DVD or Blu Ray. For those of you that have never seen it, go watch it on what ever format you can, its an amazing film IMO. Disclaimer: If fast and the furious is you favorite movie of all time you may not like this one

Blu Ray - This maybe the best HD source material that I have ever owned... Unbelievable from start to finish, at some points I just had to pause so we could take in the image. As mentioned, in the bonus material they talk about how they did the restoration and conversion to digital which is pretty cool. I really recommend checking it out, it will be a great test of your video equipment, and I know this will get a lot of use in my collection

Here's hoping they put the Qatsi trilogy on blu-ray next.

Saw this last night and was amazed how the quality was. The time lapse was awesome. This is a Blu Ray worth having, not just for the quality, but also scenes from around the world.
