Man i hope those previews do not let down when the movie is released. Hugh Jackman is ripped like Wolvering in the comics. I cant wait for this to come out. I've been a Wolverine fan since elementary. Im glad they're using the Origins story line.

thats x-23, if i remember. shes a clone of wolverine. sort of like his daughter. in the comics the only has 2 claws and was clone from his blood. he also has a son too which i think is a clone also. i cant remember.

If you are talking about the kid in the red that is James(Wolverine) as a child, he did have bone claws thats how they made it in the origins story line. If memory serves me correct the comics showed Wolverine with bone claws even before the origin story line came out when he had the adamantium ripped from his skeleton.

interesting because i didn't know he was born with retracting bone claws!

i just thought that since he always had healing powers then that's how he survived the adamantium alloy injections hince the claws.

It was In X-Men #25 (1993), at the culmination of the "Fatal Attractions" crossover, the supervillain Magneto forcibly removes the adamantium from Wolverine's skeleton. This massive trauma causes his healing factor to burn out and also leads to the discovery that his claws are actually bone. Wolverine leaves the X-Men for a time, embarking on a series of adventures during which his healing factor returns, greatly increased in speed and efficiency. After his return to the X-Men, Cable's son Genesis kidnaps Wolverine and attempts to re-bond adamantium to his skeleton.[19] This is unsuccessful and causes Wolverine's mutation to accelerate out of control. He is temporarily changed into a semi-sentient beast-like form in which he gains greater physical power than ever before, at the price of part of his humanity. Eventually, the villain Apocalypse captures Wolverine, brainwashes him, and has the adamantium re-bonded to his skeleton successfully.

So in that sneak trailer it showed both Jame's and Dog's father Thomas Logan; which is kind of cool because he looks like Liev Schribers version of Sabrethooth grown up. Although in the Origins story its never implied that Dog is actually Sabretooth. I think the movies is going to imply this since theyre half brothers and theyre using the Origins storyline.

you'd be surprised how many writters have evolved wolverines story lines over the years. fuck the x-men. i read that when wolverine became popular it was outselling the x-men series. so you can only imagine how much more the x-men series made when they introduced wolverine with them. wolverine didnt appear until an issue in The Hulk.

The only thing I dont like is that Jackman is like a foot taller than the comic character. I am a bit of a geek when it comes to comic book movies and I tend to pick apart when it doesnt match just right.


Correct again. There were so many versions from different writters. One of the other original ideas was to just have his claws attached to his gloves instead and not pop out of his skin. I am glad they went with the bone claws.
I read that the actor playing Sabretooth had to add 40 pounds of muscle to get the role. But I like that they are not using body suits like some other comic inspired movies.

i thought his height was around 5'7" in the comics?? yah they nixed that idea because if he had gloves that had claws then anyone could become wolverine. also another origin of his was going to be that he was a mutated wolverine that evolved. i think that eventually id like to see wolverine in his orange black suit as oppossed to his mainstream yellow, blue black. i didnt like his black leather outfit from the x-men movies.

i wonder, once marvel has established their comic book movies, if they would incorporate their characters into a major movie. they could use the Civil War series for that sole purpose. youve got ironman that just went public, spiderman has been around, the hulk is loose, once they avengers get settled in it would only be a matter of time until the public wants to know who these people are.

I didnt know for sure if that was an actual idea or not. I actually still have the complete 12 issue series cross over of X-Men, X-Force and X-Factor in mint condition.

I was a Wolverine geek myself. Still am. This movie has me excited like a drug dealer on the 1st of tha month.

Definately could have been better, but after seeing x-men 3, i already had my expecations for this one.

I liked it , was better than i expected

god they left out a lot of information. whered the rest of team x come from?? no brief descritption about them. too much the animal within conflict throughout the whole movie. it wasnt balanced out correctly. some of the dialog slowed down the movie. the end pissed me off and before the end. why the fuck did they do that?!?!? honestly it seemes like Wolverine doesnt translate too well from the comics as a stand alone movie.

fox also stated that the movie is missing plot lines and is missing alot of footage, although this could be their plot to get people who have seen the leak to still go watch it in theatres.

but i'm with ya on the review, it doesn't build the characters up much and the ending has a lot to be desired. and even though its a movie about wolverine, i wasn't too impressed with what they did with gambit

Not having really kept up with the comic book I really have no idea what to expect as far as accuracy. Having watched it I'll probably still go to the theater and see it on the big screen because I enjoy good movies better that way. I liked the movie and Liev Schreiber's character (who is he supposed to be?).

Now check this out. A movie critic who works for Fox News downloaded the movie and reviewed it online on his Blog. Guess what, he got fired for it.
