Roger Waters... "Dogs"

From originally from the Animals album.... with Doyle Bramhall II on electric guitar....

I used to watch Doyle back in the 90s in Austin with his band the Archangels...

He plays left handed, but leaves all the strings in their original position, i.e., the smal string is now on top.. so in essence he plays upside down.

Pretty amazing guitarist..

Great album. Bramhall is an equal to any of the "great" guitar players.

If you play, it's pretty cool to watch his backwards technique. You see righty's playing normal. You see lefty's with the strings swapped for their left-handed orientation. Then you see Bramhall. It's easy for me to focus so much on his technique that I catch myself missing the music.

Glad someone else gets it. Not only is he is an amazing guitarist, but he was an avid Stevie Ray Vaughn fan and has many tribute songs to him....

The song "See What Tomorrow Brings"...

The quality sucks but it was the only version I could find.

Lyrics..

All good things must come to an end
If I could be there again
For just a little while

I hear voices in the air
I wish that I could be there
Maybe someday- I don't know

Maybe someday, maybe someway
I don't know

Wait just long enough
See what tomorrow brings
Wait just long enough
See what tomorrow brings

There's so many things that I could have said
I hope someday that I could be led
Led by your hand wherever we go

I can't bear the thought of that day
I wish it could be wiped away

Maybe someday, maybe someway
I don't know

Wait just long enough
See what tomorrow brings
Wait just long enough
See what tomorrow brings

Why do things happen this way
I felt so much anger
When they put you away Stevie Ray

Living life is so hard to do
When all my time spent is missing you
Trying to get by without you're love

I have so many feelings to share
But I look up and you're not there
All I have is memories

Wait just long enough
See what tomorrow brings
Wait just long enough
See what tomorrow brings

Yeah, "Dogs" is probably my favorite song off of Animals, which also happens to be my favorite Floyd album (right next to Meddle, that is). My dad recently bought this DVD and has been watching it non-stop. Every time I go over to his house we watch about half of it, starting at "Pigs On the Wing, 1" and finishing with "Money." The concert as a whole is fucking incredible, with my only problem being with the way they altered "Wish You Were Here."

What's cool is that even though it sucks that Floyd split... the byproduct was spin off and all star bands packed with talent and well done concerts.

I have David Gilmour's Live at the Royal Albert Hall, and it's amazing how at his age he can still play with such soul and feeling, and he never, ever misses a note, either on his guitar or with his vocals..

I have a friend that plays the shit out of a guitar the same way, but he can play it either way. Playes his own left handed guitar or someone elses right hand upside down just as well.
