Bastard. Quite possibly the greatest mini-series of all time. That'd be awesome in full HD.

makes me feel like a chump for paying 90 for it on dvd.

Frank Perconte: Hey, George.
George Luz: Yeah?
Frank Perconte: Kind of remind you of Bastogne?
George Luz: Yeah, now that you mention it. Except, of course, there's no snow, we got warm grub in our bellies, and the trees aren't fucking exploding from Kraut artillery, but yeah... Frank... other than that, it's a lot like Bastogne.
Frank Perconte: Right?
George Luz: Bull, smack him for me please?
[thump]
George Luz: Thank you.

I got home, cranked up the sound system and immediately went to "Bastogne."

its the new project by Spielberg,Hanks, and the other guy who headed up Band of Brothers. Its due to be out in 2009 as a 10 part miniseries (like BoB) covering the stories of three marines in the pacific.

I also found out the Band of Brothers series had a budget of 115 million dollars. Most expensive television series ever.
