Californication.

With David Duchovny is fucking awesome. Picked up the DVD set last night and am already halfway through it. Reminds me of when I was single, minus actually getting that much action. Also reminds me a bit of the first season of Rescue Me. Hope it doesn't make a bee line for the shitter the way that show did.

Yep. It's the only series I've ever watched from start to finish. I think the second season starts pretty soon too.

David Duchovny makes a great anti-hero.

I watched most of Californication live for HD since I don't have an HD DVR, but DVR FTW.

Well Eric, I checked this out after our second conversation on it this past weekend. I rented the first disc of season 1 last night and finished it. I thought the pilot was ok, but the episode after the pilot swept me right off my feet. Needless to say i'm hooked. I can't get enough of Dani (suicidegirl/secretary to Hank's agent) either.

I figured you would dig it. I've heard the 2nd season sucks. Waiting for it to come out on DVD. Wait until you see what happens with Dani later on. I've watched the entire season 3 or 4 times.

So long as Madeline Zima or Natasha McElhone get naked, there's no way season two will suck.

Amazon.com has some pretty crappy reviews, but I'll withhold judgement until I can see it for myself. When is it out on DVD?

I know I'm behind, but I didn't want you guys to get a needle in your urethra's from me starting a new thread, so...

Just got done watching season 1. Started it Sunday night, and just now got done with episode 12. This show is amazing. One of the funniest and boner-inspiring shows I've ever seen. I was lucky enough for Netflix to offer it for instant streaming so I got to watch it through my X-box. Unfortunately, season 2 is not available for viewing. I might have to ebay it up and see if I can find it for cheap.

10 out of 10. The show rocks.

Awesome, since they have season one on instant, I'm sure two will be as well. Hell, with Heroes, as they play the new episodes throughout the seasons, the episodes are automatically updated to the instant queque on Netflix. Pretty cool stuff.

Came out today. Already 4 episodes down. Doesn't quite have the bite or spontinaity of the first season yet, though there have been some pretty funny bits. Runkle and Smurf being obliterated stoned is pretty amusing to me for some reason. Mia hanging around seems highly unlikely and an obvious plot contrivance. Ah well, onward to episode 5.

They never resolved the thing with Mia and Hank's new book, so I can see why she'd be in Season 2.

Haven't seen any of the episodes yet.

Well, if I had just gotten my ex to dump her husband on her wedding day, the last thing I would want around would be his underage daughter, who I had boned, and had made my life miserable. We got 6 eps in last night, will finish it up tonight.

All I can do is smile and say 'just wait'. There's a reason she's still hanging around.

Meh, it was alright. I'd give the first season a 9.5 out of 10. The second I'd probably give about a 7. Good, and with some pretty funny moments, but not as much anarchy as the first. Funny, I just finally read The Great Gatsby about 2 weeks ago, and there is obviously a major portion of this season built around that literary icon. Hanks reaction to that birth was fucking awesome.

When is season 3 starting up? Don't know if I want to wait an entire 'nother year for it to come out on DVD. Maybe I'll finally upgrade our cable.

Ah ha! She was the youngest daughter on the Nanny, wasn't she? I knew I recognized her from some other show.

I've got the first season of Californication on my computer already, I just need to find time to catch up on the last 3 episodes of Always Sunny's third season before I start it.

Edit: Just watched the Pilot, and I've got to say that this is some fucking brilliant television.
