Can anyone name a good ukulele?

What are the good brands out there for ukulele?

The wife wants to get into playing one because of her itty bitty Japanese hands. Personally I think she should try a 3/4th guitar instead but its her dime to spend, right?

So any suggestions? I'm looking for quality and tone over pricing.

Thanks

The only good ukulele is a broken ukulele.

Ask Tiny Tim as you tip-toe through HIV. For your wife? Ass clown.

Well, I got her out to Guitar Center yesterday and finally had her try out a Little Martin 3/4 sized guitar. I also had her try out one of the Mitchel Uke's. She ended up liking the Martin more. I'm going to go pick one up for her today (we forgot our GC coupon yesterday) Its made of plywood but thats fine for a beginner.
