1980's war/action movie suggestions?

I watched Rambo this weekend and it kicked ass with a little '80s cheese mixed in.

What are some other great '80s action/war type movies you guys recommend?

Top Gun.

Not exactly "war" but still a classic.

Predator. Not war necessarily, but other good action flicks include Cobra and Stone Cold for some absolutely cheesy action.

Drop back a few years (1978), and see "The Deer Hunter". Gritty, tough movie, with lost of stars in it.

I just pointed out how you were too stupid to use a search function in the same thread you were griping about what was missing.
To stray away from arguing with "Mr Mustangs are crap compared to my over prices bmw", here's a link for most of the better movies of the 80's:

Think it was more in the late 70's, but "The Boys in Company C" is another R Lee Ermey movie....similar to Full Metal Jacket.

Already been listed, but I'll have to second (or third, or whatever the number is):
Commando
Predator
Red Dawn
Death Wish 1-3
Heartbreak Ridge
Delta Force
Hamburger Hill

Not war movies, but I'd add Die Hard ('88) and The Last Boyscout (it's '91, but close enough).

"FireFox" was cool in its day. In 1990 there was, "The Hunt for Red October" and "By Dawns early light". Both deviated from the typical body count 80's type of war flick.
