How many mp3's do you own?

I just updated my personal mp3 song listing earlier this morning and it even surprises me sometimes what I'm up to. Currently I'm at 16,397 mp3's @ 82.1 GB. That's about 75% all things rock, with a bunch of rap, and the wife's pop and country crap. Recently my bro-in-law gave me all his CDs cuz he's switched over to mp3's now so I've got about 200-300 cd's to go through but honesly, I think I probably already have most of it. Screw the radio, I've got my own damn station right here with almost a fully loaded iPod. Rock on...

Not many at the moment, only rare stuff that I've lost over the years that the band members were nice enough to give to me in mp3 format.

Once I get an iPod at the turn of the year, i'll have about 1,200 cds worth.

I don't remember how many mp3s I have, I think over 8000, I remember it's like 50gbs worth, I'll have to look to be sure.

Porcupine Tree - Recordings
Interpol's first EP, Grey with Purple text (Sold that one though)

Then there's records.. some that I bought for $20 that are worth several, several times more than that now and another that I bought for damn near $100 that is probably a lot more than that as well. I just haven't priced it yet since it's only about 2 months new.

I'm sure there's more shit in my stash spot, I just don't know right off hand

I don't know how rare they were in all honesty, as when I bought it, Interpol was just starting to get big. I heard rumors of ~500 for grey/purple and ~1000 for grey/white. I sold it for just a tad bit less than what I paid for it. I think I paid around $215 for it and sold it a bit over $200. I think they're priced less than that now.

16K? I don't like 1600 songs. I have close to 600 with probably another 600-800 out there that I like that I don't have.

They've gotten bigger, yet every album sounds almost exactly the same. They bore the FUCK outta me. I keep buying new ones by them, but they all sound the same and pale in comparison to Turn on the Bright Lights.

Dude, you must be rich!! 16k mp3's @ $.99 each. That's like $160,000 dollars worth of music! And we all know you "bought" it all because the title of this is "how many mp3's do you 'own'"".

I'm at 4k probably. I don't think I could even listen to 16k of them in my whole life!

absolutely!

this whole thread is about legally obtained mp3's.

perhaps the thread starter should clarify that.

I'm up to 2357 on the ipod. I filtered out the junk on all of my cds before I loaded them onto itunes. Probably add another 100 or so if I can find anything that catches my ear.
