30 Days of Night

Dissapointing. Worth renting maybe not at the theater though.
Pros= hot main character, lots of blood, vampires
cons = constant high pitch wailing through the whole movie, very very fast action sequences. You see someone get attacked then a bunch of shit happens that is just a blur then the guy is dead, not bewbs(not even skimpy clothing as they are in alaska), horrible ending.

thats a very long list haha. Im a very big Blade fan and like most vampire movies. If it helps there were people booing and the ending of it and laughing at parts that were supposed to be scary. I also heard a fair amount of "this is fucking stupid" throughout the movie

went and saw it last night- it was really good- the "feeling" the entire movie was scary, im not sure what "high pitched wailing" you guys are talking about, and the ending was pretty cool, couldnt have ended it any other way really.

the "28" series wasnt great- specially 28 weeks later, the main delta force guy dies, then the main army chick dies stupidly, and it ends and its not over.. great and "the descent" was scary as shit... loved that movie- have a couple beers, turn off lights, and watch it when youre a little tired...

whatever i liked it, lost of blood and gore and craziness. and the fact that they left it open for another is just good business strategy. who cares that all those people died, they will be replaced with new ones

well its the fact that they made that delta guy a bad ass main hero then killed him like 10 minutes later, then you had the army chick as the main hero and killed her like 15 minutes later, neither of which they made a big deal. there was no climax to either one of those movies... ended up with no hero and no one even knew the kid was immune to the virus

That is really disappointing to hear, but really, they just don't make good vampire movies anymore...(last few years anyway).

I am looking forward to "I am Legend" though..it looks really good in that apocalyptic way. Although it is a remake it is about vampires, so it ought to be good hopefully.

I saw 30 Days of Night last night and I thought it was decent. The action scenes could've been a little slower. The wailing was a little odd.

I had high hopes for "I am Legend" then I saw the trailer with Will Smith having an SR-71 and an F-14 Tomcat on top of the building he lives in. The feeling of optimism was crushed, I didn't know whether to laugh or vomit.

THIS MIGHT BE CONSIDERED A SPOILER, PLEASE SKIP IF YOU WANT TO BE SURPRISED BY CRAPPINESS IN FILM-MAKING.

The movie blew. I had such high hopes for it too! The premise is awesome... a place vampires can go for 30 days of straight gangster blood sucking violence and terror! Oh no, they gotta go and fuck it up!

Let's start off with the fact that this movie went from "great idea" to "I've seen this before" in about 10 minutes. I was pissed as soon as they started trying to build characters for Hartnett and the broad. Then, give it a shitty sub-plot... predictable situations leading to a predictable outcomes!

On top of that, give the vamps only 150 some-odd people to whack: then they go and do it all in one night... where's the suspense in that??? I was thinking, "man, these guys are gonna drain this place dry one poor bastard at a time. AWESOME." Nope, they fucking blood lust that place like a pack of fanged Vikings. BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORING. If I wanted to see a war movie with a town-crushing bloodbath, I'd watch Apocalypto... at least it was not that predictable.

To wrap it up, top it off with a languid hero-be-all predictable ending, overly done effects ( I HATE that goddamn clichéd scream that ALL the horror movies are using now for any scary critter) and some sappy sunset horseshit and you get a C- review.

28 weeks later was fuckin emmy award winning compared to the 1st one! its blew! Well w/ mixed reviews im still in air on whether or not i want to see this. If anyone played legacy of kain/soul reaver(playstation days) that would be a cool vamp flick to put to the screen. I definately wouldnt go off the deep end like the last game did, but im sure another ending could be made.

Saw it last night, I loved it. I thought it was one of the better vampire movies. Not cheesy like most of them. And don't even compare it to Blade, thats ridiculous. I thought it was great.
