Concerts This Weekend

Anyone know of any good bands playing this weekend?

Over five thousand years ago, Moses said to the children of Israel, "Pick up your shovel, mount your asses and camels, and I will lead you to the Promised Land." Nearly 75 years ago, Roosevelt said,"Lay down your shovels, sit on your asses, and light up a camel, this is the Promised Land." Now Obama has stolen your shovel..., taxed your asses, raised the price of camels and mortgaged the Promised Land!

Not this weekend, no.

Jesu plays at Hailey's on Tuesday.

The Melvins play at Granada on the 18th

Porcupine Tree at House of Blues on the 28th.

Man I've been trying to get tix for HOB and they have been sold out. Anyone have any idea of about how many they can fit into the concert hall?

I'm leaving in a few minutes to go to the David Crowder / Phil Wickham concert at the House of Blues. I am looking forward to it.

Tried to get tickets but they've been sold out for a while.

Man card revoked.

The phrases "good" and "cross canadian ragweed" should never go in the same sentence.

For starters, their music isn't any good and the worst part is that they stole the abbreviation for Creedence Clearwater Revival (the REAL CCR) and raped it. Everytime I hear someone refer to cross canadian douchweed as ccr it makes me want to kill a small child.

My band The Standard Issue is playing at Ur Moms in Denton Saturday night for the TX/OU afterparty 10:30-11ish start time, 2 sets, drink specials $5 and 18+. Not to mention it's my buddies birthday and he is starting the party off at our show lol. It will be a damn good time. We play all originals, rock, and every song DOESN'T sound the same like some bands lol. Not to mention my singer made it to the 2nd round of american idol this year.
