What was the first movie you remember seeing in a theater?

I can remember going to see American Graffiti when it first came out at the Lakewood Theater. I saw Jaws there too

2001: A Space Oddysey (circa 1968)

Both in their original theatrical release

Saw it with my dad when I was a kid. We were the only people in the theater, and I remeber being afraid that they were going to forget about us, turn off the movie, and lock us in. LOL.

"Flash Gordon" w/Max Von Sydow

Thought it was the coolest thing I'd ever seen. Talked my mother into taking me to see it about 3 more times.

Before that, I vaguely remember seeing the "The Brood" in the theater with my dad. It scared the shit out of me being that I was only in kindergarten at the time.
