Good acoustic modern rock songs?

Everything from the Exies, Incubus, Foo Fighters,Oleander, etc etc etc artists. Give me good stuff to check out!

Been on an itch for some good sets. Some of my current fav's.

Foo Fighters - Walking after you (acoustic)
Incubus - Mexico (acoustic)
Crossfade - Cold (acoustic)
10 Years - Wasteland (acoustic)

That should get this started.

Check out Iron & Wine. More folk than rock, but it's really good.

Not new, but damn good.

Sublime - Boss DJ (I don't care too much for ragae clubs) or anything else off the Bradley Nowell & friends acoustic CD.
Staind has a couple good ones too.

Another vote for Iron & Wine. Very mellow indie acoustic.
Probably not your style Ryan, but if you are hard up for acoustic, Colin Hay has an acoustic album that I really like. He's formerly the front man for Men at Work.

It's a bit more intimate than Our Endless Numbered Days. He (Sam Beam) recorded it in his bedroom. It has a much more inviting sound on it than Our Endless Numbered Days does. I was actually a bit weary of listening to that one due to it being recorded in an actual studio, but the end product came out really nice. He has his next album due out in September.

Have you heard the recording he did with Calexico? It's incredible as well. If you don't know who Calexico are, you should check them out as well.

Get the Sap Album by Alice in Chains, it is the best acoustic they ever did.

Only four songs on it, but Chris Cornell does alot of background on it. It is awesome.

Here are the song titles:

Brother
Got me Wrong
Right Turn
Am I Inside

Its not new either...but kick ass songs.

Believe it or not, i have listened to Colin Hay =P. He has quite a few songs on the Scrubs soundtracks. I like him, but i dont like "beautiful world", he gets political and all sappy/weepy and i dont care for it.

"My beautiful feet" is a good song.

A lot of the Scrubs soundtrack was what prompted me to find more good acoustic rock/indie stuff. A lot of what i enjoy is finding songs i know and listen to them in a completely different way when its unplugged.

So just go buy some fucking unplugged albums and be done with it since you're only looking to sing along to shit you already know.

Alanis Morisette's acoustic album was decent if you're into that kind of music. Of course the entire Nirvana Unplugged album kicked ass and if you like Seether their One Cold Night album is 100% acoustic. Also can't go wrong with good old Alice in Chains and their unplugged album.

Alice in Chains was, hands down, the best Unplugged set ever recorded.

Incubus- The warmth (there is an acoustical version running around, recorded live from a concert in Dallas, that is pretty sick)

I think Eric Clapton would have to argue this statement.

I've had Bradley Nowell & Friends (Sublime Acoustic) for a while. I love that CD, shows you the real Bradley Nowell and you can tell how much he loved making music.
