Walmart has cheaper ammo than Academy...up here anyway.

academy all the way. I refuse to support walmart in any way i can. I hate that place.

I found that Cheaper Than Dirt Guns carries ammo thats less the Wally. Not sure about Academy.

In general I'll go to Academy- Monarch brand for target/plinking. Although I've had a couple of duds from it. I've picked up some good deals at Cabela's too.

It really depends on caliber and if you're willing to shoot remanufactured. For .257 Roberts other than my personal reloads, CTD - Bitter Root Valley. For surplus, either CTD or Military Gun Supply. For .45-70, I just have to shop and see what I can find. I need to start reloading it.

Academy, especially depending on sales they maybe running. Walmart if there is no Academy around.
