I'd want something different for zombies. Think low recoil, ultra accurate out to 150 meters, light weight ammo with enough power to penetrate a skull from any angle, AK reliability, 50 round + magazines and comfortable enough to shoot for 10 hours straight.

A SIG 556 with a 20" barrel chambered in that FN 5.7mm round may fit the bill for a zombie gun.

For a zombie invasion I think it would be necessary to consider the availability of the ammo and the ability to reload.

You would also have to consider the mobility of the firearm, does it work well in tight spaces.

Ruger 10/22, a few big magazines, a brick of ammo, 2 lawn chairs, and a 30 pack.

Haha, sure, but I would appreciate it if you looted the local liquor store first and brought over some smokes and whiskey.

If I ever have to watch the world descend into anarchy, I want to be set up in a comfy ass lawn chair with some beer in hand.

it has enough bang to get in, but not enough to get out - bounces around inside - Pretty damn effective.

I have no doubts that a .22 would enter the the skull, but would it leave? Which is the reason I used cavitate. If were dealing with the zombies, I would want to make sure the round does more than lodge in the brain and give the zed a headache

EDIT didnt see cj's post
