Question Most comfortable IWB Holster for .40 S&W?

Need some advice guys....

Been looking at the cheap stuff, but I'm kind of leaning towards a Crossbreed Supertuck or Milt Sparks Special. And what about gun belts...make a difference in overall comfort?

Any suggestions or advice would be appreciated. Need some schooling on the subject.

I never found one either. Ended up getting a Ruger LCP to carry all the time.

I carry my XD40 sc in a supertuck. I can wear it all day without issues. Minotaur and DMBullard make similar designs. The Bullard holster will be all leather though.

The super tuck is big, but it is comfortable and with the kindex draw is super fast.

To be honest they are both good holsters.

As fas as the belts go any good one makes a huuge difference. If you get the supertuck get the belt from him as well. Its a good price for a leather belt.

What you might call solitude is something i look forward to.

a .40 s&w what?

i had a supertuck for my g27, sold it after i bought a $25 don hume. the supertuck while comfortable was large and with its 2 belt clips difficult for me to put on and take off in the truck. i am not supposed to carry at work.

god bless.

I've been using a Comp-Tac CTAC for a couple of years now. I've carried both a full size and sub compact Glock (G22 and a G27) as well as a full size and compact 1911 with no problems at all. It really helps to have a quality belt to support the gun's weight IMO. Switching to one from a regular "dress" belt made a world of difference in comfort and concealability.

I've got a supertuck and feel the same way, its comfy but a smaller holster that is easier to take on and off would be nice. I carry at work, but I prefer to be able to take it off and put it in my desk drawer when I'm doing paper work.

Any problems re-holstering with the Don Hume?

Might look at the Galco brand, they have a variety of options that are a decent.

Supertuck with XD40 Service. No complaints. Won't argue about the "big" part, but I have worn it all day without complaint. Undershirt is key, though.

I also got a gun belt from Crossbreed. The belt made a HUGE difference as it helps carry the weight of the gun better than some run-of-the-mill belt. So, make sure you get a gun-belt, not a thick belt, or something else.

Any IWB is a PITA to put on in a car. I can't carry at work either so I unholster my XD and keep the holster on. This way all I have to do is reholster my pistol to carry.

Crossbreed also has those snap-slide (or whatever they're called). Can't link to it as the site is blocked from work. Basically, a Supertuck with one clip.

Why would you remove your holster at all? I just unholster my weapon in the car and keep my holster on.

I use a supertuck with my G32. No problems at all. Doesn't seem too big to me.

That's what I would do, no point on unholstering and all if you are simply removing the gun for a few hours. Otherwise I'd look into a paddle holster that's quick and easy to put on and take off.

Supertucs suck. They're cheaply built, and the metal clips are only good for ruining leather seats, and scratching shit. Also with the clips being metal, they break on you in time. There is a warranty on the holster, and the guy who owns crossbreedholsters is a super nice guy and warrantied mine without a problem.

I carry this in the winter

I carry use this one in the summer.

My employer carries with a supertuck daily, and he's a little bitty fucker. You can not tell at all with him.

If you want a single clip setup, DM Bullard makes some holsters like that too. He is in Azle. Not sure if the wait is a long as it states in his website though. I've seen his work and its nice.

Probably going to go with a Don Hume or Comptac. Was just taking my time to see what other people had to say and reading some reviews.
