Larue 2010 range day pictures

Well, it was a lot of fun. Should have gotten there a little earlier so I could have had a chance at some of the door prizes, and gotten some of the free stuff, but overall I had a good time. It was broken up into stages which were scattered around. Many different manufacturers there showing off their stuff. Each stage had a line to shoot, and usually they gave you 10 rounds on the .223's, and 5 rounds on the .308 rifles. overall it was fun trying out all the different optics and rifles. There was also a long range section where you could fire the .308's out to 1000 yards, which was cool. Plenty to see and due. The vendor section was good, larue stuff was about 10-20% off and also no tax. Their soft bags were just about 50% off. The line for the vendor section was absolutely ludicrous. Apparently they expected 1,000, and got 4,500 from what I could gather. They will be more prepared next time according to the organizers. Oh, and free BBQ, as much as you wanted.

And this excited young lady won the grand prize - the OBR with the Nightforce scope and several other goodies. Notice all the guys disappointed faces in the background.

This looks like the rifle I shot. I love that AimPoint scope. Wished I had enough money to purchase at the vendors tent.

I had posted it in the other thread but again, those ankle breakers were everywhere lol. Heck I think I spent just as much time watching the ground as I did everything else. I can already see that I need more practice firing from a standing position. I had a lot of fun and that was my first time attending any kind of shooting event.
