Bushmaster ACR Recall

Just letting anyone know who has purchased one or plans to do so. This is upsetting, as I would expect a $2,000 rifle to be tested to perfection and not recalled in the first quarter of its release.

The Bushmaster ACR has been recalled because it can go full-auto under some circumstances. If you own one, make sure you send it in to be fixed. Not only is it a safety hazard but a legal one. The BATFE are not fond of firearms firing more than one shot when the trigger is pulled

Frustratingly, Bushmaster only sent out this recall noticed in the form of a scanned image converted to PDF. I had to use OCR software to convert it to text. If you own an ACR I suggest reading the original recall notice.

I like the gas-piston Ruger and Para AR's, and the SIG 550 for what the ACR costs.

Give me a dollar.

I'll take an FN-SCAR-H over an ACR any day of the week. That being said...I still want one.

So the "imperfection" is that it shoots full auto?

Just push in the trigger holding pin in just past the lower frame wall (inward from right to left, as the barrel is facing away from you) I just recently had a Bushmaster lower build do that to me. It causes the sear to miss the catching latch.
