Sig P238

What are your thoughts on the little pistol besides price? Looking for a nice little pocket gun.

I think I'll be picking one up soon. I looked at them at Cabela's about an hour ago and I really like it. A friend of mine has the p238 and the lcp and he said the p238 is a much better quality pocket pistol and is well worth the extra cost.
There's a dealer in Justin that sold it to him at the gun show for a little over $600 with tax for the SAS model.

My buddy just bought a p238. It's a nice pistol. But you're stuck using the manual safety as it's single action only. This I dont like. The LCP is ready to fire whenever you're ready to pull the trigger.

I don't mind the manual safety at all. Buds & Impact Guns have them for about $575 shipped. They are a little pricey but I think they are well worth it.

I've got a two tone w/ blackwood grips on the way. Sig had a recall last year and some feeding issues from a batch of bad magazines, but that appears to have been worked out.

The p238 is a great shooting pistol. Very little recoil, a smooth trigger, and decent sights. My wife has a LCP, and there is no comparison between the two except caliber.

If you watch Academy, they'll get them in but they go quickly. The one near me had a nitron model with the cheap plastic grips for under $500. There are a few places where you can get aftermarket grips if you want to change them.

the P238 is basically a re-manufactured Colt 380 mustang. mags and most parts interchange. I love my colt. they carry well and awesome trigger. I'm thinking about picking up a Sig just so I can stop carrying the colt

I basically stole my p238, but I would have eventually purchased one anyway. This thing SHOOTS! Mine has been 100% reliable so far and shoots better than any gun this size should. I like it significantly better than the Rohrbaugh I played with yesterday, IMO.

Picked up one brand new for $499. It's the 2 tone with silver grips and silver slide. Should be at my FFL dealer this week.

My Sig arrived today & I must say it is a good looking pistol. Haven't shot it yet but it sure does feel good in my hand.

Sounds like you got a good deal.

I picked mine up Sat and haven't gotten to shoot it yet either.
