Colt SAA .45

I am wanting to buy a Colt Single Action Army revolver. I want a shooter not a collector piece. However when I look at used guns on like Gunbroker they are mostly all unfired special versions that are going for $2000 and up. Local retail seems to be about $1400 for a late model unfired but the one I found for that is in .357 Mag and I want it in .45LC.

Anyone know a good place to look for used/fired otherwise relatively new Colt SAA's? I am looking for one in nickel with a 5.5" barrel.

Thanks

I have been wanting one for a while too. A local gun store has them for $1,200 new in box and I have been thinking about jumping on it.

Also, be prepared for 3-4 people chiming in telling you to "just get a vaquero/blackhawk". Like you, I would be willing to pay more for the Colt.

So does the local store have them in nickel for $1200?? I have seen/heard of them for $1200 in case harden blue for that but not nickel.....

Also if they chime in with that I can tell them I already have. I own a vaquero in stainless/nickel in .45 LC already... LOL But that obviously did not completely scratch the itch....
