rock island 1911 report

picked up a rock island commander size last week.took it out today and after a week of admiring the gun all i have to say is WOW!

the gun rocked.nice crisp trigger.no issues what so ever and was very accurate.honestly i didn't think accuracy would that good, but it is.

i handled alot of paras and colts and some of these rock island.every rock island trigger felt awsome.the colt gold cup was not even close but came in second over all the paras except the LDA para.

if this gun handles the rd count im gonna give i will be very impressed.i would definetly as of now,buy another one.

Have you owned, or shot any other 1911s to compare it too?

My brother in law bought one of the RIA Tacticals a few weeks back and has been messing with it.

Rock Islands are good because they are cheap, so you have money left over the buy a good gun.

Cool...
I just asked because my bro in law brought his to the lease a few weeks back and he had thought it felt good, and shot good till he shot my Kimber.

didn't kimbers fail in the desert?

i hear their tolerances are a bit to tight.kimbers are pretty guns but i just don't know about paying their price.i'd rather go colt if i where spending top dollar.
