So I sold my Glock 27 last night. Rant

I've been thinking about switching back to a G23 for a while now so I can have the light rail (bought G22 a while back and added a light and I really like it) and finally sold my G27 last night. I've owned it for over 10 years and it's going to feel a little weird not having it on my hip anymore. It was one of the first things I bought when I started my current job (been here 10 years now) and it was back before I had a CHL and I remember having to drive out to McKinney to pick it up after the waiting period because I bought it at a gun show. I've shot a few thousand rounds through it over the years and unlike most things I've owned I resisted the urge to mod it in any way except for the mag well plug and the +1 extensions on the magazines. It's done a fair bit of traveling with me over the years and I've carried it through all kinds of weather and situations and it's always brought me back home safe and sound.

Now I have to find a good deal on a G23.

I hate selling guns I like. I've found ways to avoid it so far. However its inevitable that you will regret it. I'll refrain from my typical glock smack this one time

Did you have one single, solitary tear roll down your cheek?

Lol, kidding. I came close to selling my 5" XD .45 not too long ago, and backed out at the last minute. I can't bring myself to get rid of it, and I know I'll regret it if I ever do.

It is a nice pistol Jose, sorry I missed ya last night. I was looking at the G27 when I bought my G23. Being that I'm out here on the left coast now, with no chance of getting a CHL, I'm glad I wen with the mid-size.

Just know that it's in good hands, and I bet your memorries fade once you set eyes on your new G23.

I bet the asshole that bought it doesn't even appreciate it.

You can have dibs on it, if you want.

Yep, I have a connection like that to my Beretta 92fs. Never jammed on me, is damn accurate (best in class CHL qualification), holds 18+1 rounds, and looks sexy IMO. I will never, ever sell that gun and it was my first new automatic pistol.

I have other toys, but the beretta is my favorite to shoot.

Beretta... gangster? Seriously?

The US military uses the 92 (dubbed to m9), as well as countless law enforcement agencies. Hell, the 92 is responsible for the transition from revolvers to autos in most law enforcement departments. Also, as a bonus no neilson device is required to add a suppressor, as the gun does not use the Browning lock system.

IMO, Glocks and Hi points are more "gangsta".

Seriously though, I would feel guilty for making money off of you. I'd rather keep it for now. Even though I've had it since last Thanksgiving, I've only shot it once. I'd regret selling it as soon as I did it...

If you'll take a check, I'll be right over (with a large van).

This may sound like a dumb question, but what kind of bullets does the 92FS take?

Edit: Also whats, the going rate for something like that? I was pretty much decided on the Glock 22 for myself and the Glock 27 for my g/f.

Don't be man. If you ever feel the need to sell it (and I haven't bought one by than), hit me up.

The 92FS chambers a plain old 9mm round. If you are planning on getting a 27 for your GF I would seriously recommend that you borrow or rent one and have her try it first. It packs a pretty good punch for a small gun and if she has small hands it can be thick for small hands. Might also try the 26 (9mm) which might be easier for her. Just a suggestion.
