need a gunsmith recommendation

All i want is some ghost ring sights installed on my Mossberg 500. But damn, every single gunsmith i called near me is backed up 4-6 weeks, WTF, Are all gunsmiths this crazy busy?

Looking for one in Mid Cities/Ft Worth area. Ive called:

1) advanced gunworks (roanoke)
2) Winchester Gallery (ft worth)
3) Elk Castle (ft worth)

I took my rifle in for a simple job. Quoted 4 weeks and it turned to about 80 days.

This was Euless Guns and Ammo.

As far as I know they all have a long waiting list. Maybe ask if you can be on the list, but keep your firearm till they're ready to work on it.

I'm thinking screw having the front sight soldered,I don't want to be without it for that long at a gunsmith. I've heard of people using JB weld and being done with it. Anybody tried this? What's the prep required to JB weld on a blued barrel?

As said, Doc's in Carrolton is a great place to get smith work done. Just dont expect anything to be done too quickly.

Anyone that walks towards a gun with jb weld on hand should be slapped. As bulldog suggested, solder.
