owning a shooting range

To go along with my other thread of trying to think up of a business to open instead of working for the "man", Does anybody think opening a shooting range would be a profitable business? Seems like as the economy gets worse, people are buying up all the guns/ammo, & most people would need a place to shoot, right?

From what I've read the insurance and regulations would eat you alive. And God forbid someone gets hurt on your place... Probably not the best idea for making money.

If someone built a range that was suitable and covered all genres of shooting, I think someone could make some money.

As of right now, there's shit scattered all over the fucking place on who allows what and who and so on, it gets confusing.
