No offense intended, but they're so mismatched. Both are a mix of close-quarter combat and long-range marksmanship. The shorty stock is handy as hell when you're kicking in doors. The six-foot long barrel pretty much negates the benefit of the short stock. The bipod is real handy for long-range marksmanship, but for that to work, you need something to put your cheek against for a proper sight picture, but with a shorty stock, there's no place for cheek-weld to the stock. Is that a shotgun sling on the left?

Needs more barrel.

And I'm with Forrest. If they were leaned against my door and kick the fuckers over.

I like the one on the right better if it had a shorter barrel.

Those flash hiders are retarded. They increase the overall length without serving a real purpose.

I was looking at Model 1's website this morning and saw those on 16'' barrels. I was like WTF is that for?

Uh, I'll take that bet. Seeing how just last week you were asking how to scope the rifle in.

hmmmm, ok, one on the right is a off the shelf Bushmaster other than the flash suppressor

other is a full custom build, (can give details if wanted)

I don't really need a "close range" weapon, so what would you do to the one ON THE LEFT
if you wanted to use it for 100 plus yards, and no, I have no illusions of me being any kind of
sniper with it so that's not what I meant...

Ditch the CQB stock and go with an A2 or something like a magpul PRS. IMO it just looks goofy with that long barrel and an M4 stock...

Oh! haha my bad.

Back on topic - Do the longer flash hiders do a better job hiding the flash?

I looked into replacing mine with a muzzle compensator.. but I guess if you were shooting at night they might be better..
