I don't think I'd worry about many on this board. I'm north of Dallas and have my exit strategy to the mountains planned. I just need to get a vehicle that is set up for a single tank run to my cabin.

Im in Waco, so im pretty fucked no matter what happens. After 5 minutes without the rule of law, the monkeys would crash down on the Baylor bubble with their hi-points and mossbergs blazing. 35 would be backed the hell up and useless.

My only, and I mean only chance would be to get to either the Waco or TSTC airports and steal a small airplane.

Some may say I'm stupid for this but just like Sam Elliot in "We Were Soldiers" just give me a 1911 model .45, plenty of magazines, and I'll be set.

Over five thousand years ago, Moses said to the children of Israel, "Pick up your shovel, mount your asses and camels, and I will lead you to the Promised Land." Nearly 75 years ago, Roosevelt said,"Lay down your shovels, sit on your asses, and light up a camel, this is the Promised Land." Now Obama has stolen your shovel..., taxed your asses, raised the price of camels and mortgaged the Promised Land!

I want to roll with you when the shits hits the fan! Right now all I have is my FNP-9 with a little under 700rds of ammo. An AR platform of some kind is coming in the near future...just need to pitch it is as a "necessity" to the S/O.

Your neighbors have food and between the rifles and the pistol you'll get that food.

Personally though, a bolt action (check) and a pistol (check) with ammo (uh-oh).

I dunno, if the world ends I'd rather be in the NE mountains then here in TX. More resources. (At least for me to know what the hell to do.)

An AR, An AK-74, AK-47, M1A, A pistol in 9mm and 45acp, Ammo for all this also gives me more chance of "picking up" ammo at a later date. food water shelter and vehicle top off the list first makes sure I can get the rest

If it goes down, I have my bolt action for long distance, my mossberg 12 pistol grip/folding stock for short, my compound bow for silent, and my K-BAR on my hip.

Fully stocked cabin (food, water and armory) in the Smoky Mountains (barely even a jeep trail to get to it), my Piper Warrior gassed and ready to go at Meacham. Got an old CJ5 waiting on the other end. The only real issue would be the trip from Keller to Meacham.

5ARs (right now), 80+ AR Pmags 10k in 5.56, a couple hundred .308 FGM, 3K in 9mm and growing, 750rd of 00buck

I have others also but they are just not in the pics (couple 1911s, 9mms, .45s and the suppressed P22 and 10/22)

I have enough for all my family members to stick barrels out a window. Funny thing is my dad has way more than I do.

We would love to have some land to fall back to but the IRS may prevent that next year for me. A while back my uncles and I were talking about buying some land in the family name and that deal never came to fruition either.

I would just befriend those who have the most provisions before the whole shit house goes up in flames. Then I would them kill them after the event and then inherit what they have.

I mean society had ended, right? No room for friends and loyalty.

All I posted was the necessities.

I didn't even mention the three .357 Magnum handguns, two .45 ACP Kimbers, one .44 Rem Magnum handgun, two 12 ga. shotguns, one 20 ga. shotgun, 3 Marlin Model .60 .22 rifles, one Ruger 10/22 and enough ammo for all of the above mentioned.

Oh, and the .38/.357 Magnum lever action rifle.

as for the OP. I've long considered this situation. I'm fairly certain me and some key friends could arm a fairly formidable army and secure a predefined section of land in the country and live off the land for quite a long period of time while I worked to produce more ammunition and firearms. I've long said if the world and society really did go to shit, I would be the most relieved and relaxed man on the planet. Finally, I can just focus on the basics. Something tells me when I run for public office in the distant future this post is going to surface.

I've given it a lot of thought, and I think I'd like to add horses to the mix. Once cheap fuel runs out, horses will determine wealth and horsemanship will determine military might. My friends and I will be re-establishing the Comancheria.

Give me a dollar.
