Soon we'll be able to rob Chicago blind...

Daley wants a stricter gun ban now that the SC has ruled against their current ban.

What a nut job. I don't understand how they think banning guns from law-abiding citizens will bring gun violence down. Doesn't he look at the numbers? How's Chicago's gun violence rate??

Yet another one of the gun control advocates that just doesn't understand that...
1. Gun control laws don't save innocent people, locking up bad guys and keeping them locked up does.
2. Bad guys will get and use guns regardless of any law.
3. Gun Control laws do NOT stop violent crime, just ask England.
4. Chicago is a toilet and he's it's biggest turd.

I can see the point of the gun locks for houses with kids (which you shouldnt need a law to do), and barring those convicted of violent crimes from ownership, but the rest is rubbish.

Fuck a gun lock. Had the father in this story https://www.dfwstangs.net/forums/showthread.php?t=418382 had a gun lock the story would have turned out very differently.

Think of all the mobsters, how can they extort money out of armed business owners? You have to keep it business in usual, otherwise the current crooked assed politicians might not get re elected.

That's the point man... Why would we want law abiding citizens to have guns? The point is for criminals to have them.

Everyone gets tired of hearing that as if it's just completely absurd to have such a thought. The fact of the matter is that it's absolutely true. It's so simple yet they can't grasp it.

I'm just saying you don't want a toddler accidentally playing russian roulette is all... if the child is old enough to handle a firearm responsibly, I have no problem w/ it.

That's how I see it as well. I have a 17 mo old daughter and she already knows not to go anywhere near the shotty beside the bed. I do keep the nightstand in such a way that she couldn't get to it if she wanted, but she still knows to avoid it.

Dad is already talking about getting her a little pink .22 for her 4th b-day.

Go read the news.... In Chicago sometime around mid June they had 52 shootings in one 3 day period. Gun control laws really work...... NOT.

How are they going to enforce it? With the entire state going bankrupt I see big force reductions of the CPD. Not to mention that they'll be busy fighting off the people rioting for their Obamabucks. Screw the laws in Chicago, seriously. Because some asshole (Daley) who has the benefit of 24hr armed security says that guns cause crime doesn't mean I'd be going out of my house without one.

Chicago 2011 = Beirut.

I think that the dems must own the gun/ammo companies and this talk just drives up demand.

I will be an armed Texan/American till the end and I think there are too many of us that are around for this to come to our State.

Fuck Chicago anyways.

Our government has a lust for power. If they don't care about the borders of the constitution why would they care about physical borders with Mexico. They regulate the most they can because the majority of citizens are law abiding, honest citizens. This country started going down hill when nothing but lawyers made it to the top ranks of government.

Gun control laws work the way the want them to. The commie bastards that instate these laws don't care if the criminals have guns. They just don't want the general populous to have them as they could be turned against the government.
