I need a gun safe and dont have a lot of money.

I have a 6yr old boy and he is starting to get kind of curious.. It kinda sucks having all of my weapons dissasembled with empty mags in one closet, ammo in another closet etc..

Does anyone recommend a gun safe that will hold a small shotgun maybe one or 2 rifles and two or three pistols? I've checked CL and didnt see anything that fits my needs.. I would like it to have a combination lock as only my wife and i would know the combo... doesnt even need to be fireproof but i would like it to be.. we would also keep the normal safe keeping records in there (birth certificates, marrige license, and othe rprivate info)

TIA,
Stephen

Two double gun cases with combo locks might be what you're after. You could always stash them under the bed.

Give me a dollar.

Maybe a couple hundred (im sure it wont be quality but way harder access for my son to get ahold of.. If not i suppose i can move all the weapons besides my primary somewhere else. I just like the safety of having them around

why not just lock the closet door until funds come along for a nice gun safe?

Harbor Freight has a decent one, and slightly over your budget. Safe is $319.00 and you can find a 20% off coupon in any Muscle Mustang & Fords (MM&F) bringing your total down.

FYI - they normally go on sale at the store for $299.00 and still accept the 20% off coupon. Good deal IMHO for a cheap safe..
