New home defense gun!

I was looking for something to keep next to the nightstand. I found a sweet little .308 Savage that should do the trick! Can't wait to get an ACOG and light for it!

Chop the barrel and the stock down like the mosin pistola!

Detachable magazine, better overall "feel" (slightly less flexy stock, and overall nicer finish).

I haven't shot it yet, but I'm sure it will shoot beyond my ability. I was going to opt for the black one but by the time i got around to rings/mount etc, the scope on this one basically ended up costing me 40$. The combo was too hard to pass up.

Considering that this thing will be fed a steady diet of whatever cheap ammunition I can find, I'm certain that this gun and I will have a long rewarding relationship.

I tried to talk him into the gently used Precision Carbine on the used rack, but he wanted something cheaper. I think he got a good deal, and way cheaper than the 700ADL scoped combos.

Give me a dollar.

Haha, same thing I told him yesterday. Well, the barrel anyhow.

That's in case his nightstand sits 400 yds. away from his home.

Nice rifle! Range Report ASAP!

In time, I'm certain that I will want an nicer, additional bolt-action. I'm also certain that time will be after I entertain myself with this for a long while, and then the AR-10 variant that comes next.

Yale, definitely appreciate your help. I sort of want a 7.62x39 rifle, and I can't figure out why.
