Can't complain about Cabela's...

So I went to Cabela's last night to just look around in the used gun section, and I don't really find anything I just have to have in their used rifles. I decide to go over to the used handgun counter and am looking around and I notice a 9mm XD service model for $299. So finally one of the sales people walks by and asks if I want to see anything. I point to the weapon and he takes it out from behind the counter and it looks brand new, like it has never been shot. I ask him if the box comes with it and he says it does. He gets the box out and everything is in it. So I bought it. As they where ringing it up at the register they kept looking at the price tag to make sure it was the right weapon, I guess someone realized they marked the gun the wrong price. The SN # on the price tag was the same one on the gun. Couldn't believe it until I walked out with a new XD for $320 out the door. Funny thing is all the other used XD's that looked worn where $449 without box and $499 with box. Out of principle I had to buy it. I should have bought a lottery ticket too, but I forgot, oh well.

Great score. I bought my XD9 subcompact that same way for $299 but without the holster, mag holster and loader.

It was apparently sold to someone who had to bring it back because of the background check fell through.

Me, does not care. Great shooter for a great price.

Just because they are a polymer gun does not make the a knock off glock the operate completely different and have a steel inner structure that everything secures to.

They actually are both striker fired and operate pretty much the same other than the XD having a grip safety and I'm not sure what your referring to on a "Steel inner structure"

I personally like the feel of the XD better than the glock. But to each his own, both systems operate flawlessly. I have both and the XD9 Service, which is a full size weapon is actually a little smaller and narrower (if that is a word) than my G17. But like I said before they are both great guns, I just prefer the XD over the Glock, which is why I own 2 of them, a 9mm Service and a .45 Service, which is a touch wider than the 9. By the way if I ever have to use them, God willing I won't, I really don't think the person being shot is going to care either way...
