Costco has a good one for $499. Holds about 20 long guns and is 420lbs. Great deal.

HAD. As of like 2 months ago they were marked for deletion and there were zero in all the local stores. Had to drive my sorry ass to Houston to snag one.

To OP, I went through a whole process and there is some drama to gun safe shopping. I won't get into all that cause people will believe what they'll believe and if they want to spend extra coin for a safe that is still easy to cut through - that's fine.

The safe Roscoe talked about was a great deal at 499. However, the only place I've seen similar deals is...

Tractor supply has a similar safe on-sale a lot of times for around 600-650

This one is not a bad deal...

I think there is a coupon on it.

I WOULD verify the bolts lock out, I would also try to for external hinges. The hinges are personal preference. I'd also avoid combo locks.

Anyway, one thing I found is on these smaller safes they rape you on price. i.e. a small 20 something safe that I bought for 499 will run 800-1200 at these safe stores.

However, you get fairly nice 50 gun safes for 1600. It just seems like the larger the safe the better value.

Try looking up a Granite Safe in Forest Hills. They are hurting for business and have good prices.
