Just happen to see a gentleman purchase one of these today. How do you like it?

It's too bad you had problems with your Springfield.

Para = shit IMO

Should have waited till the break in period was over with the springer.

i managed to go through almost 100 rds in the springfield.it just had issues.

the para had no issues at all.it was eating them and spitting them out flawlessly.and every rd i shot was on target.very impressive.

why do you say para = shit?

Para just makes some sub par guns. They dont feel as nice as others, the parts are made to a lower quality, and the finish that I have seen on them is kinda shitty.

With a 1911 you have to shoot 500 rounds before it is conceded "broken in" I suspect the problems you were having with the springer were user error or easily fixable.

Fit and finish does not seem to be on par with Para's I've seen some good and some bad. I personally am a Kimber or Colt person although some people have problems with those brands, but I never have.

Fast83 - What kind of issues were you having with the Springfield? I agree with Blatz, it may have needed breaking in. Some 1911's need it, others don't. Even within the same brand, i.e. my Para shot like a champ straight out of the box (although I did clean it before taking it to the range) as oppose to my buddies Para, same model and all, couldn't get through 3 rounds without a failure to eject.

my para was flawless.i have not been out with it since.ill be back out tomorrow with it for another 100 rds.

i had feed and ejection problems with the springfield.sometimes the slide wouldn't completely close if/when it would chamber a rd.

fit is nice on both para and spring.
finish on spring was way better.para does slack on finish.

from what i've shot the para is more accurate than the springfield was.

i was pissed when the springfield failed.im not use to nor do i want to get used to guns failing until they have so many rds through them.the bitch better get it right out of the box and continue to get it.so far the para is as reliable as my xd.

this is a tool not a trophy peice if she fucks up shes gone.
