Great gun and you can get 10 round extensions giving you 30 rounds of 5.7 killing power in a handgun that has virtually zero recoil and is extremely flat shooting for a pistol.

How much is "a good deal"?

I think the 5.7 is more a novelty than anything. Not that I wouldn't own one, but it's not at the top of my list.

exactly , it's just .22 mag but way overpriced.
The only thing that is actually cool about it is two things :

1. P90's shoot it
2. supposedly it will punch through a vest, but most i have read says only the specific AP ammo will. still cool for a pistol to have some ability to get through a vest.

i would never own anything shooting it, just too expensive/specialized

Have one, like it a lot but it's too damn expensive to shoot for as much as I go out. If you're a once a month or two kind of guy it could be good for you, otherwise it might just be a show off every once in a while piece.

Yes, it will punch vests
No, you can't get the ammo it requires to do this as a civilian anymore

The ammo from FN will not punch vests as importing AP ammo for a pistol is "Illegal" There is a company in OK that custom loads the AP ammo

As of right now FN is the only major manufacture of this ammo as they have a license on it. I believe that license runs up in 2011 but I have been wrong before

As far as expense 50rd for $21.95 is 43.9 cents per rd

223 wolf sells 20rds for$7.99 or 39.95 cents per round
223 PMC sells for $9.95 per 20 or 49.7 cents per rd

basically its on par with other centerfire rifle cartridges and extremely accurate

Plus the PS90 is just plain awesome SBR'd and suppressed

p90's or ps90's are the fucking shit
i picked up one at a gun show. Even the holo sight built in is quite nice IMO
the balance is incredible
I imagine if it was loaded with AP rounds it wouldbe the ultimate subgun/sbr
not cheap though!

It's much hotter than a 22mag. 5.7 has more then double the energy. Nearly double the velocity too.
