I thought the same thing. Still thought it was a cool vid. Would have been better if it was a sig montage.

It's probably just his preference...I always hit the slide stop lever on mine. Maybe he can't reach the lever without twisting the gun around in his hand. It is kinda hard to hit the lever if it is still factory length. Mine are all extended which made it easier.

The stock mag catch sucks, it is easier to just pull the slide back than fumble with that flattened bottle cap they put on there.

I have a Kahr PM9. On that pistol you have to use the slide release for it to chamber a round. If you rack it by hand most of the time it will not go into battery. Many people complain about this but it clearly says how to chamber a round in the manual. So that technique would not work for my PM9.

Don't ride the slide and I bet it will chamber just fine.

yeah, on the kahr you have to use the slide release. This is the only gun I know of that you can't hand rack. My sig and buckmark will chamber a round by hand all day.

What I mean by not riding the slide is to let it go once you have it pulled back all the way. That will do the same thing as releasing the slide lock.

The slide lock can wear down over time, which is one reason why the slingshot method is preferred.
