FYI, Ralph's Range closed...

... for 2-3 months. He says its been too wet and all the rain has made his berm settle. He's waiting for it to dry out then he'll rebuild the berm.

Call 972-569-0653 (Ralph's number) for any further details.

I get my .243 out of layaway this weekend, and was planning on going up there to shoot it.

Thanks for the headsup man, saved me a trip.

They're also having issues with the locals now. Hopefully, the setup will help; but who knows.

Really? I've always heard that everyone was real cool with it. Guess I heard wrong.

Allegedly some bullets have gone further than they should hitting horses or other objects. People have complained and written letters. I think there's is or was suppose to be a meeting about the range and whether or not it will still function the way it did, only be pistol/shotgun, or just close.

With some of the yokels I've seen shoot out there, sadly, I can believe it.

@NTexas_V-Star: I don't know if you feel like making the drive or not, but there a range outside of Greenville that allows FMJ. It's called Jacob's Plain and I've shot out there several times. I think it's $15 a day to shoot out there. I may be heading out there on Friday or Saturday depending on the weather.

I was there one time and a guy let a girl-friend shoot his AR. I couldn't see what she was shooting at. He couldn't see what she was shooting. He asked her what she was shooting at. She didn't know. He looked over her shoulder and she was shooting over the berm.
