Range report: Taurus 709 Slim
Have been looking for a "summer" carry 9mm and decided to give Taurus's 709 Slim 9mm a try as my first SA. My thoughts are to give it a good work-out over the summer @ the range- if deemed trustworthy it will be passed on to the wife as her CC.
After a good cleaning we went to the range today for it's maiden voyage.
-shot a little low- about 3 turns on the rear sight brought it around.
- 3" groups at 21 feet (me, not the gun)
-very long trigger pull, short reset though
-100 Winchester 115gr FMJ's rounds fired with zero FTF or FTE
Fun little gun to shoot. Accurate. Very comfortable to carry (IWB) & easy to conceal... compared to my daily carry (Ruger SP101 .357mag).
Definately a keeper so far... the wife may have to go and get her own.
